Our Certified Nursing Assistant program will prepare you with theoretical teaching via classroom, and clinical externships at different skilled nursing facilities. The aim for students in this program is to receive a solid foundation to sit for the State certification exam. 

With this course you will be trained to provide basic nursing care, function as an employee in a hospital or nursing facility, a hospice company, or with home care or private duty agencies. This Certified Nursing Assistant program is an accelerated course and quick entrance into the healthcare field. 

You will be trained to work with patients who may have trouble with their movements, hearing, and vision problems. You will receive training in observing patient’s rights and performing accurate patient documentation. You will also learn hands-on training in performing vital sign assessments, assisting with patient’s activities of daily living (ADLs), basic patient care, safety and emergency procedures.

Program Summary

Method of teaching will be a minimum of, but not limited to, 60 hours of classroom theory and 100 hours of clinical/hands-on practical training. The CNA course teaches students the basic principles of nursing, using procedures and techniques. Students will learn to provide and meet the patient's basic physical and psychological needs and promote a spirit of restoration and independence in a safe, efficient and competent manner. The program is designed to prepare students for the California state exam and certification regulated by the CA Department of Public Health.

  • Valid driver’s License or State ID 

  • Physical Examination 

  • TB Skin Test or Chest X-Ray

  • Flu Vaccine (September -April)

  • COVID-19 Vaccination (Booster if applicable)
